Awkwafina

Awkwafina, an American performer and actress, started with a series of ribbing quips about sexuality and racial identification. Prior to her move to Hollywood the singer and actress released a series of rap tracks. Nora Lum was born to Chinese Korean immigrants living in Forest Hills Queens. Her initial exposure to music stemmed from playing the trumpet. In the following years, she took up the classical and hip-hop genres. At college, she concentrated on her studies, majoring in women's and journalism. for a brief amount during which she lived in Beijing as well, she was also studying Mandarin. It wasn't until after graduating that she turned her attention on music. After becoming famous via the Internet, her track My Vag was a reaction to Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually made its way onto the album she released, Yellow Ranger. The album included other sensational hits such as body-positive Queef and winking hometown tour NYC Bitche$1. The latter song was linked directly to another project, Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide, which was published in the year 2015. A musician and an author were as her credentials, she set her sights on acting in a third project. Her film credits include films including Neighbors 2 Storks and Bad Rap. In 2018, she got a number of breakthrough roles, such as Dude Ocean's 8, or Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she published the EP In Fina We Trust.
