Antonia Lofaso
Antonia's food is a way to get inside her world. Her food elicits a curiosity that developed from stepping out of the suburban areas of Long Island and into the culturally diverse environment that is Los Angeles. Her belief in the idea that cavatelli and carnitas could coexist effortlessly on a menu conveys a sensibility which continues to evolve. However, what is consistent with her food is an unifying vision of the future while achingly recollecting the past. Scopa Italian Roots was opened in 2013 by Lofaso and is influenced from her Italian American heritage. The restaurant was greeted with an enthusiastic reception. The old-fashioned Italian interpretation is considered to be one among Los Angeles' most captivating dining establishments. Lofaso's food is consistently delicious, welcoming and satisfying. Lofaso had been an apprentice of culinary experts learning their methods and taking chances. She did not hesitate to do so to follow her instincts. She quickly climbed the ranks at Wolfgang Puck's Spago and then went on to revamp several high-profile kitchens located in Los Angeles while working closely with many high-profile celebrities. Lofaso joined forces along with Sal Aurora to create Black Market Liquor Bar which was an upscale bar located situated in Studio City. Lofaso's home was found in Black Market Liquor Bar and her business alliances. The collaboration could provide the freedom of expression Lofaso wanted. Black Market has no one idea in its head and it is that way. It could start with chips of dill potato, shishito chilies and then proceed to the Korean wings dish and meatballs. Antonia is the linchpin of this dazzling variety. Lofaso measures her success throughout her career by her ability to understand her audience and stay authentic to who she is. Her memorable performance of Top Chef Chicago and Top Chef: All Stars celebrated her individuality outside the kitchen, and her skills continue to shine in front of cameras as an expert panelist on CNBC's Restaurant Startup and recurring roles on The Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child and ABC's Real O'neals. Lofaso joined forces together with Penguin In 2012, she teamed up with Penguin to publish The Busy Mother's Cookbook, 100 Recipes to prepare Delicious homemade Meals. The book contains her personal story of the obstacles she faced while going to her first French Culinary Institute and raising her daughter Xea. Lofaso believes that all her achievements are the result of her love of cooking and she is capable of keeping her finger on the pulse of this field by staying on her kitchen. Chefletics revolutionizes the look of chef wear with its focus on design and function. Lofaso's main concern is to stay in line with her mission. To achieve this goal she has launched Antonia Lofaso Catering. This provides customers with an extremely personal experience.
